Microsoft Edge not playing YouTube videos. Let’s troubleshoot this issue together! Here are some steps you can try:

  1. Clear Edge Cache:

    • Open Microsoft Edge, click the three dots menu icon, and select Settings.
    • In the left pane, choose Privacy, Search, and services.
    • Scroll down to the “Clear browsing data” section and click Choose what to clear.
    • Select All time as the time range and choose the items you want to clear from the browser cache. Click Clear.
    • Restart Edge and check if YouTube videos play.
  2. Reset Edge Flags to Default:

    • Type about:flags in the Edge address bar and press Enter.
    • Click Reset All to restore Edge flags to default settings.
  3. Disable GPU Rendering:

    • Type Internet options in the search bar and select Internet Options (Control Panel).
    • Go to the Advanced tab, choose Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering, and click Apply.
    • Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
  4. Disable Windows Defender SmartScreen:

    • Open Edge settings, select Privacy, Search, and services, and scroll down to the “Security” section.
    • Turn off Microsoft Defender SmartScreen.

Hopefully, one of these steps will resolve the issue. If not, please let me know, and we can explore further solutions
